A blind Sacramento teen, whose talents turned him into a worldwide phenomenon, died Monday morning from the cancer that robbed him of his vision. Ben Underwood was 16.

Ben gained national and world attention after he learned to "see with sound," but his family is celebrating his life and the happiness he brought to those around him.

Ben's room still has his favorite things -- his Nintendo Wii, his music -- and it's hard to believe he couldn't see at all, at least in the way we do. From skating to his bull's-eye pillow-fight skills to his knack for video games, Ben used his other senses to see.

Since he was six years old, Ben "clicked" with his mouth, allowing him to see the world around him with a form of human echolocation. Ben could easily navigate the world around him by listening for the echos of his clicks.

Suns ponder deals for Stoudemire

Perhaps signaling a willingness to dismantle their roster, the Phoenix Suns have begun exchanging trade proposals with teams for All-Star forward Amare Stoudemire, league executives told Yahoo! Sports on Thursday.

With dysfunction and dissension reigning within the Suns, rival front-office executives believe general manager Steve Kerr is determined to move Stoudemire and others before the Feb. 19 trade deadline.

While Stoudemire, 26, is the Suns’ most valuable asset, sources say Kerr has told teams that he’s willing to trade anyone on his roster except for point guard Steve Nash.

Jordan’s first major decision after becoming part owner with the final say on all basketball decisions was taking Morrison with the third overall pick in the 2006 draft over Brandon Roy, Rudy Gay and others.

Retirement will have to wait for Lupe Fiasco. The “Superstar” rapper has taken to his blog saying that his once final album LupE.N.D. has been “canceled until further notice.” Instead, he’s planning to release three albums over the next year and a half.

“Due to circumstances beyond my control…the album roll out has changed radically…LUPE.N.D. has been postponed indefinitely!!! As a matter of fact consider it cancelled until further notice!!!” he wrote on Friday.

Lupe also revealed that his third album, The Great American Rap Album, will arrive in June. “See ya’ll in June and again in December and again next June. LupE.N.D. right after that…when the liberation comes!!!”

The rapper’s publicist has confirmed the news to Rap-Up.com.

LupE.N.D. was scheduled to be a three-disc set. There is speculation that Lupe owes his label Atlantic Records three or more albums before his contract expires.

“I just don’t really feel like rapping anymore,” he told Rap-Up.com back in September.
